Chicken Pox

My prince got chicken pox..pity him. Luckily we went to his regular paed in Bishan early soon as we spotted his chicken pox. The doctor prescribed the Zovirax medicine. After few days of staying at home he asked me 'umi, bila Adam bleh gi skolah?' Huhuhu...pity him too bored at home.. and as usual he will asked his imaginary question 'umi lepas ni nak kena horse pox pulak ke?'

New Cooking Gadget

When I was in Bishan I will make full use every single thing in the house i.e. the kitchen utensils, tools etc..I didn't have to buy new pan, wok or whatsoever unless it is a gift for my birthday from someone close to our family. One fine day my MIL came and took away her steamer (I am not complaining). I still do not see there is a need for me to get a new steamer. Until we moved to Johor Bahru we still do not have a steamer. But few days back when my prince asked me to make him this 'lepat pisang' that is when I bought this steamer from a shop-Link Me LM in Bukit Indah (thanks to Mr. Hubby for the sponsorship hehehe) . The first dish with the new steamer finished within 15 minutes..(tak sempat nak sejuk..)

May - Month of Illness!!

It started of with Adam on May Day with high fever of 40 deg. and striked panic for both umi and abi. He was then taken to the nearest hospital at 10.30pm. Lucky the doctor did not suggest for him to be admitted. After a dose of suppository, his temperature got down a little and the doctor has asked him to be monitored closely. On the 3rd of May Adam passed on his fever to Adilah. This time we just proceed to our regular clinic and the fever and flu episode last for about three weeks or more. Adam did not go to school for nearly two weeks. Adilah's flu, however, did not recovered fully and we made another visit to CA Hospital to see the paediatrician. After a week both fully recovered from fever and flu. Their abi was so sad to see both Adam and Adilah were so skinny after the fever.

Conversation Between Father and Son..

First situation

"Abi, orang tak pakai kasut tu panggil apa?" Adam asked his abi while driving him home from school.. "Orang tak pakai kasut tu panggil kaki ayam" abi replied. "Kalau kaki lembu?" he asked again...and his abi puzzled for a while and replied "ha'ah yek kenapa tak kaki kuda ke?, kaki kucing ke?..cuba tanya umi..." Uwaaaa.. pandailah soalan yang susah sumer tanya umi!!

2nd situation

"Haa kereta tu kalau kat belakang dia ada letter 'L' tu orang tu tengah belajar driving" abi explain to Adam.. "Kalau letter 'M' ke 'B'? Adam asked.. The question left unanswered with umi laughing at the back seat and abi scratching his head...

March 2011 School Holiday

We went back to Kelana Jaya for a few days. The kids get to meet their cousins and they were excited especially Adam who kept asking about his kakak Syafiqah and kakak Solehah during the journey. They were joyous indeed and get to meet their another two cousins, adik Wawa and baby Aira.. and umi went for scarf shopping at Jalan Tuanku Abd Rahman, KL and whoaa it was tiring but fun..

Hantu..

"Umi, hantu tu apa?" My prince asked me when he heard Di Sini Ada Hantu film promo over the radio while driving him home from school. 'Not sure', I replied wanted to know his reaction. Then he announced "hantu tu ghost la umi".."Ye ke?" I asked him again. "Ye, kat tempat gelap ada ghost" he replied..Oooohhh my prince is getting bigger..

Adam is a hair-stylish today. I was busy cooking at the kitchen, when he and his little sister were upstairs playing together. I over heard the little sister screaming once a while, to my thinking..oh maybe Adam snatched something that she is playing with. Until few minutes later my little girl come running to me and saw few of her hair on the floor! Oh No! I ran upstairs and saw Adilah's hair everywhere. Uuwwaaaa..today is a sad day for me.

First Day at School

Macam ye ye aje

Adam's first day at school was a shock to him. Although he was reminded about school by his abi and me, the real thing was not to his expectation. The first day he was ok with no crying what so ever. Come the second day was told by his teacher that his classmate started to cry when later he follows. The third day was the worst when he cried all day until the school ended. On thursday he cried only in the morning and on the fifth day surprisingly he did not cry. Throughout the weekend whenever he woke up from sleep or nap he cried and reminded umi and abi that he does not want to go to school. Ohh no..is it that bad? Or maybe he is too attached to his abi that his teacher nick-named him Adam-abi.

Cuti-Cuti Malaysia

Our vacation journey started at the Colmar de Tropicale in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang on 27 Dec 2010. It was an excitement for the kids and they enjoyed the vacation very much. Adam gets to play with the rabbits, played with bubbles, running around with his adik and many more activities for the them before heading to opah's place in Kelana Jaya after two nights in Colmar. We dropped by at the Pavillion KL to meet my ex-colleague, Kak Yati and had lunch before moving on to Kelana Jaya. The following evening we went to I-City and the kids had fun looking at the lights especially Adilah. She was so excited with her oooo...and aaaahhhh... when looking at the bright and beautiful lights. We dropped by at the Butterfly Park in Malacca before heading back to J. Bahru on the new year eve. It was an awesome trip for the kids and they had so much fun although it was quite a tiring journey. Next round of vacation coming soon, maybe the next school holiday.

Small Birthday Bash

Adam turned 4 on 12 November 2010. We had a small celebration for him with four pieces of cake for each of us. Although it was just four of us, he was happy because he gets to blow the candles...:) and also happy birthday to abi which fall on 23 November 2010.

Start School

Come next year my prince will start his kindergarten. Urghh! I really could not imagine how his first day at school will be? He already announced three things that he does not want to do..First - Go to school, second - go for injection, and third - circumcision!! Aiyoh!! For the time being his abi and I will still convince him how fun school would be..See how he would take before January 2011..

As for me, just hope that I will be able to cope not having my prince at home for couple of hours..sad!!

Sesuci Lebaran

Ramadhan Al-Mubarak

Ramadhan Al-Mubarak, the month full of barakah.. It is already nearly a week of fasting. When it comes to Ramadhan, the feeling is different, the excitement and happy before it comes and then towards the end feeling kind of sad. That is the feeling I could described when Ramadhan comes..Ohh, how I miss the terawih at my old place in Kelana Jaya. Sometimes I even bumped into good old school friends during terawih at the Al-Ehsan Masjid. While praying, I could hear the children playing fireworks outside. Ahlan Wa Sahlan Ya Ramadhan..

Time Flies..

The month of Rejab will end soon. Then come the month of Syaaban and then Ramadhan. Hmmm..time really flies..This will be our first time fasting in new place and new house. Hope everything will turn out ok. Heard from neighbours that the Hari Raya celebration here is full of tradition like in kampung with the takbir Hari Raya on the Aidilfitri eve. Feeling a bit aggrieve because this year we are planning to go back to KL for the hari raya. Maybe next year InsyaAllah.

Our new home in Johor Bahru

The house is in Nusa Idaman, Johor Bahru. It was love at the first sight, when we went for viewing through a friend of mine (thanks to Leen). The terrace double storey house with three bedroom on the upper floor and one bedroom and a storeroom on the lower floor is like our dream home. The only setback is the small kitchen for this kind of house. The surrounding neighbourhood are very friendly but we have yet to get to know each other because we were busy cleaning both in Singapore and Johor Bahru house. The landlord only managed to stay for about a year or so before they rented out to a Singaporean family before us, so the house is still like brand new. Hubby was complaining while cleaning the house reason because this is his first experience cleaning big double storey house heheh...

All Wrapped Up

The house is like hairwire right now. All stuff to be moved to Johor Bahru have been wrapped up. Waiting for the day to move our things. It has been tiring week for all of us including the kids. Running to and fro Johor Bahru-Singapore to clean the house in JB and entertain new tenant for our house in Singapore. What an exhausting week. Finally we have accepted a group of Phillipinos to rent our house in Singapore. Consists of 7 people and it is quite a number for an apartment like ours. Just pray that these people are clean and would not turn our house upside down.

I am walking now...

Adilah can now walk alone without being assisted although sometimes she would banged herself onto the tv console or the sofa. She also had two visible incisor teeth on the upper jaw and another two coming out from the lower jaw. She loves to explore everything that she could grabbed and very demanding nowadays. Even her abang could not cope with her demand. Adam has learnt to give way to his lil sister although sometimes he got annoyed when his sister snatched anything that he is playing with. Isk..isk..Dil Dil..

Moving Out?

Hubby suddenly pop out this question "Why don't we move to Johor Bahru and rent out this house?" I stared at him disbelief waiting for him to explain of such a big decision. A colleague of his did the same and travel daily from J. Bahru to Singapore to work just like other Johorean who works in Singapore. He said this would lessen the burden of high cost of living in Singapore. From thereon we have started to seek for a house in JB, a mover, an agent to rent our Singapore house and many more things to do and our life would not be the same again.

Transformers Family

Adam loves to imagine that his family member is the Transformers character. He is Bumblebee, his abi is Optimus Prime, his lil sister is Ironhide and the worst is umi, Megatron huh!! Even nenek has got a character that is Starscream and tok is the Fallen. Sometimes when nenek comes to visit, he will scream out loud..."Starscream is here..Starscream datang" heheh...There was one time while watching the Transformers movie he shouted "Oh no...Megatron is dead! Who is going to clean up Bumblebee's poo??" Ha ha ha...
